    ASDA-M-Series

    With its innovative and cutting-edge servo drive design, the ASDA-M series gives a new definition to servo system by achieving the perfect combination of motion controller and servo system. The development of the ASDA-M series follows in the footsteps of the successful ASDA-A2 series and offers high resolution, high frequency response, a built-in electronic cam (E-Cam), function of auto notch filter, vibration and resonance suppression, full-closed loop control, friction compensation and a more flexible position register control PR mode. The ASDA-M series also features many robust functions and an advanced design that meets a variety of applications for all types of industrial automation machines.

    The ASDA-M series goes beyond the typical servo drive. It includes 3-axis servo drives in one frame to support real-time data exchange among three axes without any time delay and provides 3-axis synchronous motion control with performance better than comparable servo drives. Users can perform 3-axis linear/arc/helical interpolation functions easily. The ASDA-M series also features a new gantry control function for synchronous control that is precisely adapted to pure rigid mechanical systems. The ASDA-M series is your best choice for the highly integrated systems and the high-end machines requiring 3-axis synchronous control.

    The ASDA-M series adopts a design that allows three axes to sufficiently share PN power with output power and regenerated power. Less power loss can be achieved through DC bus voltage changes without additional communication links. Compared to general servo systems this 3-in-1 design also reduces the input from the grid with effective energy saving, benefits/cost reduction and reliability enhancement.

    In addition, connecting to DMCNET, CANopen and RS-485 communication enables the system to integrate with various extension digital input and output modules and other automation more efficiently.   • ASDA-A2 Series
    ASDA-A2-Series

    To meet the demanding requirements of motion control applications in industrial automation and satisfy the needs of high-precision positioning control requested by machine designers and system integrators, Delta launched the high-performance motion control ASDA-A2 series servo motors and servo drives in 2009.

    High Precision Control

    - ECMA series servo motors feature incremental encoder with 20-bit resolution (1280000 pulses/revolution). Existing functions to meet the requirements from delicate process have been enhanced. Stable rotation at low speed has also been achieved.
    - Up to 1kHz frequency response. Settling time below 1ms.

    Superlative Vibration Suppression

    - Built-in automatic low-frequency vibration suppression (for crane control): two vibration suppression filters are provided to minimize the vibration at machine edges automatically and sufficiently.

    - Built-in position feedback interface (CN5) is able to read second feedback signals from motor encoder and send the current position back to the drive to form a full closed-loop so that high accuracy position control can be accomplished.
    - Reduce the effects of mechanical imperfections such as backlash and flexibility to ensure the position precision at machine edges.

    Features of ASDA-A2-M

    - CANbus communication speed is 1M bps, in comply with CANopen DS301 standard.
    - 3 CANmotion modes (Profile Position Mode, Interpolation Position Mode, Homing Mode) are provided for CANopen DS402 standard. Max. length of the communication cable can reach up to 40m (when using standard communication cable).
    - Station configuration can be set via parameter settings.
    - In conjunction with Delta’s PLC, it is able to save the wiring and establish Delta fieldbus system configuration.

To achieve our goals and keep pace with the evolving market, Delta officially launched its new linear drive system, the ASDA-A2R series for high speed and high accuracy motion control applications.

    The ASDA-A2R series is an innovative linear drive system that has successfully integrated CANopen and DMCNET communication interfaces to offer high response and high precision control. Connecting to Delta's motion control cards and programmable automation controller (PAC) MH1-S30D, Delta's linear drive system can provide an ideal solution for multi-axis motion control applications in various automated industries.

    For Delta's ECML-S16/20/25/32 series ironless linear motors, the ASDA-A2R series is able to perform the characteristics of high precision, high rigidity, high response and backlash free to optimal levels. This not only increases the work efficiency of the motion control system, but also expands the applications of the servo system to satisfy demanding high precision requirements.

    Current linear drive systems in the market are a complex system that includes servo drive, linear motor, linear scale and external controller while components come from different suppliers. The customer would need to apply great effort to integration. The ASDA-A2R series combines Delta's linear motors with Delta's PAC to establish a simpler system featuring simple wiring, quick installation, fast communication, superior performance and less integration effort.

    When the ASDA-A2R series is connected to an optional ASD-IF-EN0A20 Signal Converter Box through a motor encoder interface, the square waves and sine waves of feedback signals from the linear scale, linear motor and encoder can be converted to communication signals into the ASDA-A2R series. The ASD-IF-EN0A20 converter box can divide the signals into high resolution signals (Signal amplification: a multiple of 2,048) to greatly reduce noise and distortion and provide more accurate signal transmission that is essential for fast and optimum communications.

It is able to combine with medium / high servo motors from 3kW to 7.5kW ( torque output from 19.1 N-M to 47.74 N-M) and is equipped with incremental 20-bit (1280000 ppr) optical encoder, providing more accurate positioning control for high-precision processing industries or the machine applications where high responsiveness and stiffness is needed to reject high torque disturbances. With A and AB series, Delta provide a complete servo product line (from 100W to 7.5kW) to fully support our customers' needs and offer various options for high torque applications.

The gain tuning function allows easy operation and the internal memory blocks shorten the parameters upload and download time.
